Dr. Rohit Jain

Dr. Rohit Jain did his Post graduation from the Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, B J Medical College, Ahmedabad in 2008 and Graduated from Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata in 2003. He has special interest in Hematopathology, Oncopathology, Clinical Pathology, Biochemistry and Quality  Management systems. He has improvised the Conventional bone marrow aspiration procedure using the 18  gauge spinal needle which is less invasive and painful for both the pediatric & adult patients and has  conducted more than 3000 procedures. Dr Rohit is an assessor for NABH–Medical laboratory programme. He  has been trained for FISH and other Molecular Techniques at AIIMS Delhi, PGI Chandigarh & TMH Mumbai and Cytogenetic Techniques at SRL Diagnostics Mumbai. He has published 19 papers in both National and International  indexed Journals. He is a peer reviewer and editorial board Member for many national and International  Journals. He has published world’s 1st case Dz ESCC with metastasis in the young age of caustic  ingestion of shortest duration: case report with review of literature dz in The International Journal  of Gastrointestinal Cancer which has also been cited as reference in Pediatric Surgery 7th edition 2012.

 

He is the only participant from Asia in the Ongoing Global patient percentile monitoring project in  collaboration with University of Ghent, Belgium since September 2013.

 

He was conferred with prestigious Young Oncologist Travel Grant Award on May 7, 2008 at Dana Point, California, USA at 90th The American Radium Society Annual Meeting. He is also the Member Secretary of the hospital Institutional Ethics Committee.
